Use of Genetically Engineered Plants in Biotechnological Plants

Exposure to emissions during drug manufacture can be very lethal, so the technocrats have find solutions to this problem by altering the harmful chemical resources to harmless and eco-friendly biological resources. This is made possible by genetically engineered plants. All the biotechnological plants are using this concept for drug manufacture and proving themselves bliss for mankind as well as Pharmaceutical engineering.
With the advancement in technology, numerous plants have taken the place of several yeasts and bacterias which were the chief resources for the manufacture of medicines. Many countries have already cultured various pharmacy plants for drug manufacture. Now almost all Biotechnological plants are using these pharmacy crops which are safe enough.

These crops include oilseeds, soya, maize, tobacco etc.
Pharmaceutical products like growth hormones, antibodies, vaccines, blood clotting proteins and structural substances like collagen, anti-viral, anti-microbial and other numerous enzymes which are enormously potential are now developed by Biotechnological plants. The key job of these plants is producing antibodies from genetically engineered plants which have excellent healing properties. These antibodies are utilized for the cure of many lethal diseases including cancer, harmful infections and immunity disorders.
Use of genetically altered plants has given new direction to Pharmaceutical engineering. As these plants are renewable source, they are effectively meeting the requirements in the market. Medicines produced by them are cheap and easily affordable. Similar cell structures of plant and human beings provide supplementary benefits.

Agriculture of pharmacy plants can be dangerous as they can combine with feed and food crops and can create unhealthy environment. So the biopharmaceutical plants are growing more and more non-food and non-feed crops to avoid this danger.
Using chemicals in the manufacture of drugs can be noxious and lethal for the workers engaged in its production. Also it can affect badly to the patients. Biotechnology has given effective solution to this deadly problem by the introduction of genetically engineered plants. This has enhanced the success of biotechnology in the world of Pharmaceutical engineering.
