SEO and Positioning Tips - Rank High and Fast

SEO and positioning your website to rank top spots in the search engines require some careful planning. Just like setting up a business or going to war, it requires strategizing for optimal results. Diving straight into the internet without any clear game plan is time-wasting, dangerous and more often than not, a futile attempt to rank any website for maximum targeted traffic. Let's dwell a little deeper into some useful SEO and positioning tips to get your web pages indexed and ranking faster.

1. SEO and Positioning Tip 1 - Determine Your Objective

What is your objective in optimizing your website? Is it for maximum general traffic or targeted niche traffic? Once again, webmasters are unable to get this part clear. Many think that driving as much traffic as possible to their websites is the way to go. Unfortunately, this is a big pitfall. A web site may attract loads of traffic but yet don't perform as well as another with little traffic but making more sales. Know what your objective is, to sell more products or to get more people to visit your website. If you are building an interest-based website or hobby website, perhaps getting maximum general traffic is the right solution for you.

2. SEO and Positioning Tip 2 - Plan Your Keywords Right

This is applicable for all websites that intend to tap into free organic traffic. By that, I mean SEO and positioning high in search engines for specific keywords. One clue for you before you compile your keyword list is to understand that search engines rank individual web pages, not websites. The systematic way to do it is to first look at your objective of SEO and positioning. If you are targeting a niche market, for example SEO tools, target the niche keyword SEO tools for your home page, and drill into this main keyword for related keywords such as SEO Elite, effective SEO tools, etc to target for each internal web page.
Don't make the mistake like many webmasters do in targeting one main keyword for the entire website. The smart approach to SEO and positioning is to target a list of low competition, moderate demand keywords and rank well for them. This would potentially drive more targeted traffic, than to blindly hit at one main keyword.

3. SEO and Positioning Tip 3 - Simple Well-Thought On-page Optimization

Use your keywords in the meta-tags, web page title, sub-headers and web content. Make your web content unique. A keyword density of 1-3% and word count of more than 400 words is ideal for on-page optimization. Create a sitemap page to make search engines spiders love your web pages. This helps in indexing the internal pages fast.

4. SEO and Positioning Tip 4 - Effective Off-page Optimization Techniques

Building link popularity of a website is far more crucial than any other factors for SEO and positioning for top search engine ranking. But pay attention to who your link partners are. Trade links with websites in a similar niche, and high Google PR if possible. Links from authority websites such as educational or government websites, ie domain names with .edu or .gov extensions are valuable. Buying links from link partners is perfectly fine if you can verify the quality of the websites. Search engines nowadays can be quite demanding and look for quality more than quantity of links.

5. SEO and Positioning Tip 5 - Using Search Engine Optimization Tools

Webmasters used to do everything traditionally from on-page optimization to off-page optimization such as emailing fellow webmasters to exchange links. Technology and software development has made it much easier for SEO and positioning websites using search engine optimization tools. These smart tools are designed to automate all manual tasks necessary to grab a top search engine ranking for a website fast. Almost every webmaster has one or two of these in their arsenal as they are big time and money savers.

SEO Training

SEO Training Courses in the UK

SEO - Search Engine Optimisation, is an extremely  valuable skill.
The job websites - at a time of increasing unemployment - seem to be full of very well paid positions for SEO executives. The reason for this is that actually, there are very few people in the UK who are truly skilled in SEO - and for that reason, those that are tend to choose to work for themselves regardless of the large amount of money they could earn working for an SEO firm.

The main reason that very few people in the UK have real SEO skills, is that there are very few UK SEO training courses available. You can't just go & enroll on an SEO course at your local night school, they don't teach it in schools, there are no college courses in SEO in the UK, that I'm aware of, and there are very few real opportunities to learn real SEO from someone who knows how it's done.

I think the reason most SEO consultants don't offer to train, is that training is much harder work than just doing SEO - and at the same time, when training new SEO consultants, we're creating real competition for ourselves - and at the moment in the UK, there is not a lot of competition from REAL SEO consultant who actually do the work, and I think most consultants would agree that they'd prefer it that way - it's difficult promoting a clients website when you're up against another professional, so really for us, the less true SEO professionals out there, the better!
So - most SEO consultants are self taught. I have been teaching myself SEO for roughly ten years, and I dread to think how much I have spent over these years on ebooks, courses & programs, but I'm sure whatever the amount, I would have saved money by doing an intensive SEO training course, if there was one available when I started !
I have now started to offer SEO training courses in the UK, to help people who are serious about becoming professional SEO consultants. My training courses are one to one, intensive training courses, that include a year of help & support.

Are SEO training courses absolutely necesarry

No - they're not, however finding a professional SEO consultant to train you, will help you to take a huge leap towards becoming an SEO consultant, drastically reducing the learning curve that most SEO professionals have to go through.
What kind of SEO training course should I look for?
Look for a training course which is run by actual current SEO professionals, people who're doing this for a living. The world of SEO is an ever changing one, someone who used to be a great SEO consultant who now just trains, isn't likely to be training you using fresh knowledge & experience.

How much should I expect to pay?

SEO is a very valuable skill, and a good SEO consultant can make a lot of money, therefore logical thinking will tell you that no SEO consultant is going to offer to train you for a small amount of money, they are in effect training a future competitor, so they need to make more money than they would make in the same amount of time working for a client, otherwise what would be the incentive to offer training courses?  So, if you do find a course which seems very cheap - just think logically about the value of such a course, and why such valuable training is being offered for bargain prices.
There are some valid reasons that a course would be offered for a smaller cost, for instance a course that was teaching a number of people at one time, would enable a lower cost - but in my opinion SEO taught in a class is never going to be as valuable as one to one training with a professional SEO.

What else should I take into consideration?

The main thing to think about - is what happens after the course? Like learning to drive, the REAL test comes after you've passed & you're let alone to drive. Remember the first few weeks of driving, scary right?
A good SEO course should include after training support. I continue to support people for a year after the course, included in the price of the course - and I offer packages for continued support after a year.

Google Still Has No Love for Professional SEO (search Engine Optimization) Developers

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION IS IMPERATIVE FOR A WEB BUSINESS TO SUCCEED

If an online business these days really wants to increase their overall profit margin, then they usually HAVE to have at least a top twenty page ranking in Google to get a few hundred new customers coming to their site every week. The best way to get to that goal is to optimize their web pages for the search engines to see that they have the best relevant content devoted to their specific market or industry.
This article will not discuss "black hat" SEO techniques or any search engine optimization dirty tricks. I will only be discussing truly professional methods that legitimate SEO companies use every day to get their clients that huge push to the top ten or twenty rankings in Google specifically.

GOOGLE SHOULD BE REALISTIC WHEN IT COMES TO THE WAY THE WEB WORKS TODAY

It is a fact today that the way the internet runs when it comes to ranking web pages does not sit well with Google. They don't appreciate the fact that because a site has forty great links to other larger sites, it will have a much better internet rank than one that only has four or five good links in its site. Google also does not like the modifications to sites that increase web page keyword optimization such as changing your title page to reflect a much better keyword target than the one you had previously on your main site page.
Because of the fact that the web was in this state before Google arrived on the scene, Google should just acknowledge that they will never be able to change entirely the way search engines will have to work in the future so they can embrace the present as far as dealing with the real pros who have taken SEO techniques to the level that they are at today.

HOW DO PEOPLE WEB SURF TODAY?

With so many different web sites available to a person searching for "horror movie posters", for example, that web surfer looking for high quality posters in his price range will go to probably the fourth page on Google's "horror movie poster" keyword search index. There is absolutely no way that Google can supply every relevant result for that specific keyword phrase.
The problem is that a poster company called "The Movie Poster Hut" in Kansas City might have the best deal on giving this web surfer exactly what he wants at a great low price, but because of the incompetence or lack of knowledge by the web designer of the "Movie Poster Hut" to put in relevant keywords in the main title page of that poster site, it ranks 1200th in Google's "horror movie poster" pages, and this web surfer will never see it.
But if a professional SEO company got involved in optimizing all of the movie poster company's web pages, that web surfer would be a very happy man who just got a better deal on his movie poster than he ever thought possible. Why on Earth would Google have a problem with that?

WHAT EXACTLY IS GOOGLE'S PROBLEM WHEN IT COMES TO SEO TECHNIQUES?
What Google would love to see is a world wide web that is only indexed by their search engine which will no longer see higher page rankings due to link exchanges and keyword optimization techniques. In Google's strict submission guidelines, they actually embrace some non-SEO tasks as being ethical, but never include normal SEO techniques like SEO-copywriting as being anything you should include in your web pages upon submitting your pages to Google.

This attitude of hostility against SEO companies and techniques that Google currently has needs to change. The sole job that Google is to generate to their web visitors the most relevant online businesses and blog sites that come up on their pages when a specific keyword is typed into their search bar. The legitimate SEO companies are doing their best to get their qualified business clients in the top twenty rankings using ethical SEO techniques.

Google should be intertwined with SEO professionals and SEO companies instead of being at odds with them. That is the only way that the internet will be able to grow and flourish in the coming years.

Search Engine Optimization - PageRank PR(E)

Most everyone that is making websites has a close look at PageRank and its importance to SEO. The world is controlled by Google right now (The World Wide Web anyways) and PageRank is actually a term created by Google.

Many people have spent incredible amounts of time trying to come up with formula that is used to calculate PageRank and some believe they have it pretty well figured out. In general terms, PageRank is an analysis algorithm which assigns a numerical value to each type of hyperlinked element in a document, specifically on the World Wide Web. The reason the PageRanking even exists is to assign an importance value or PageRank to the document being evaluated. The element is denoted as E, and the acronym for PageRank is denoted at PR, thus PR(E)
The PageRank Assumption: "The assumption that all the outgoing links in a Web page are followed by a random surfer uniformly randomly is unrealistic. In reality, links can be classified into different groups, some of which are followed rarely if at all (e.g., disclaimer links).
Such "internal links" are known to be less reliable and more self-promotional than "external links" yet are often weighted equally. Attempts to assign weights to links based on IR similarity measures have been made but are not widely used."

Here is a list of the Top Ranking Website, all at a PR 10

The Google Toolbar's PageRank feature displays a visited page's PageRank as a whole number between 0 and 10. The most popular websites have a PageRank of 10. The least have a PageRank of 0. Google has not disclosed the precise method for determining a Toolbar PageRank value,
As indicated on Wikipedia (which by the way has a PR 7)"The name "PageRank" is a trademark of Google, and the PageRank process has been patented (U.S. Patent 6,285,999). However, the patent was assigned to Stanford University and not to Google. Google has exclusive license rights on the patent from Stanford University. The university received 1.8 million shares in Google in exchange for use of the patent; the shares were sold in 2005 for $336 million." PageRank was created at Stanford University by Larry Page and Sergey Brin as part of a research project for a new type of search engine. They began in 1995 and led to a functional prototype, named Google, in 1998. Shortly thereafter, Page and Brin founded Google Inc., the company behind the Google search engine. There are many factors that go into the search ranking of Websites, PageRank will continue to be foundation for all of Google's web search tools for the foreseeable future until the next new thing. Step by Step Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Guide

Section 1: Introduction

This, in my humble opinion, is the absolute best Search Engine Optimization guide. I have looked long and hard, far and wide for these tips, and now I'm putting them all in a step by step guide to tell you exactly what to do to increase your Google Page Rank (PR) and get top placement in Google, Yahoo, Lycos, AltaVista, and every other search engine out there, without ever submitting your site. I'm all but literally going to hold your hold and walk you through this. Get ready!

Section 2: What is SEO?

Let's talk about what SEO is NOT. SEO is not:
  • Adding random keywords to submissions and your page because they get lots of search results, even though they're not in the least relevant to your page.
  • Adding several links and/or keywords for the crawlers to see, but hiding them from your public. ie: Making them the same color as your background or making them tiny, or both.
  • Submitting multiple urls for the same site, example: http://www.YOURDOMAINHERE.com and [http://www.YOURDOMAINHERE.com/index.html].
  • Having two pages optimized separately, one for search engines and one for the public, then when you click the link you're redirected to the page for the public before the search engine page is even displayed.
  • Spamming.
  • Listing your site with a Free For All Link service.
  • Selling PageRank.
  • Interlinking multiple sites with the same or similar content.
  • Having tons and tons of links. You should never have more than 100 links on any given page.
All of these things are not what SEO is all about. In fact, they are cheating, and not to mention a waste of time. Once Google crawls your site and sees this content, they will most likely ban your website, or at the very least penalize you by removing some of your PageRank. Just make sure you refrain from doing any of the above at all times!

Section 3: Search Engine Crawlers

Search engine bots, also known as crawlers and spiders, move from website to website following links all over the internet, forming a "web" if you will. Google performs this crawl about once a month for the large crawls, which means you may not see your site on Google for a while, depending on when you begin your SEO, and you may not have the ranking you feel you should, but don't worry after you're indexed in Google your site will be crawled more frequently and updated accordingly.

If you're looking to get indexed more quickly, it's as simple as getting a few links from other websites already indexed in Google. In turn this will most likely boost your PageRank, but if it doesn't don't worry because we haven't covered that yet. Googlebot visits sites with a high PageRank almost every single day. However, sites with lower PageRanks are crawled less often. Of course you want to have your site crawled as much as possible so that Google can update your rankings as quickly as you work to improve them! So how do we increase PageRank? Well, I'm sorry to let you down, but we're not quite there yet. Before we increase our Page Rank it would be wise to optimize our pages so they will be more effective and get much better results. We do this by making a search engine friendly website, read on...

Section 4-1: Optimizing your website - Keywords

Now it's time to learn to optimize your keywords to get you maximum, but targeted, exposure on the search engines. The first thing you need to do is make sure every page on your site has many keywords, but that they are relevant to your site. However, do NOT just put them in there, make sure you form your sentences around them and add, delete, and modify all you have to in order to make all of your pages as keyword rich as possible. Another thing you can do is make sure all of your anchor text, the text that displays for a link, has related keywords in it to the page it is going to. Next just check to be sure that all of your pages have a file name that is relevant to the content and/or keywords. An example would be: paytoclickads.html INSTEAD OF ptcad.html. Understand? Good. Let's move on to meta tags.

Section 4-2: Optimizing your website -

Meta tags are small codes placed into the head of your website. Crawlers use these tags to get a brief description of your website to better judge the quality. Websites have really become an art these days, huh?
The tags we will be using are:
  • Title - The title that displays in the web browser.
  • Description - A logical sentence containing several keywords.
  • Keywords - A list of relevant keywords
The title tag should be a clever page title that reflects your website and includes a couple of your primary keywords. For example, consider this title for a website about Fruit: Apples, Oranges, and Bananas: The Benefits of Fruit. You place this in your site with the tag [title] and you close it with the tag [/title]. Just replace [ with . I had to make it that way for it to show up without it applying it to the page. Therefore, using the example above the code you would use would look like this: [title]Apples, Oranges, and Bananas: The Benefits of Fruit[/title].

The description tag should be a coherent sentence with a nice flow, that includes, of course, those wonderful keywords. In case you haven't noticed, keywords are universal tools, you need them for just about everything involving SEO, and that's why it's important to pick the very best! Now, your description should be fairly short, yet still descriptive, after all, that's what it's for. Going with the theme above, something like: All about fruit! To name a few, apples, bananas, oranges, peaches, and strawberries. It doesn't have to be very clever because this is for the search engines, your visitors will not see this, but make sure you include it, it's very important. You would tag your description like so: [meta name="description" content="All about fruit! To name a few, apples, bananas, oranges, peaches, and strawberries."/]. Just place that code under your title.
Another important tag is the all powerful keyword tag. Here is where you can list all of your keywords, separating them with commas. Once again, not just any random keyword, it needs to be relevant, I can't stress that enough. Code it as: [meta name="keywords" content="apples, bananas, fruit, pears, lemons, peaches, oranges, watermelon, strawberries"/], and of course add more than that if you can, it's better to have a short list of good keywords than a long list of bad ones. That's a given. This code goes under the description, so you should be looking like this: [title]Apples, Oranges, and Bananas: The Benefits of Fruit[/title]
[meta name="description" content="All about fruit! To name a few, apples, bananas, oranges, peaches, and strawberries."/]
[meta name="keywords" content="apples, bananas, fruit, pears, lemons, peaches, oranges, watermelon, strawberries"/]
...and then of course anything else you have in your head section.

Section 4-3: Optimizing your website - Site Maps

Sitemaps are a great way to index your site. You can easily create an xml site map online for free. Just go to Google and search for "xml sitemap generator". Then follow the instructions and download your sitemap. Then upload it to your website. Now you need to put a link to your sitemap on all of your pages. This will help search engines index you quicker and keep track of your activity. You will need to make a new sitemap everytime you add delete, move, or rename pages, but you won't need to do anything more than generate it again and upload it, overwriting the old one, which takes all of 5 minutes, if that. There is no need to make a new sitemap when you just edit the content, because none of the links have been affected.

Section 4-4: Optimizing your website - Alt tags

Alt tags are used in pictures on a webpage. They were first used for the visually impaired, where the alt tag would briefly describe the picture and a text to speech converter would read the entire page to the visitor. Today, alt tags are still used, but mostly to get brownie points with the search engines. To apply an alt tag to an image just insert this code:
[img src="apple.gif" alt="A Red Delicious Apple"]
That's all there is to it, a simple way to get on Google's good side.

Section 5: The Amazing PageRank!

Well folks, here it is, the beloved PageRank. PageRank is a system that Google uses to classify the overall quality of a site. The steps we've already taken should help a little but not enough to show a difference. If you would like to check your PageRank, just download the Google Toolbar and enable the PageRank feature. To really boost your PageRank you need links. Not links within your site but links to others, but that's not enough, you need others to link to you as well. Here's how it works: A link from you to another site does nothing; a link from you to another site that links back to you (called a reciprocal link) does well; a link from another site to you that you are not linking back to does even more! You really want to link with the sites that have a high PageRank (5 or more) but a link from a site with a PageRank of 1-4 wouldn't be bad, it would still help, but you don't want to link to a site with no PageRank unless it looks like it has potential because it's possible this is just a new site that has not yet built popularity, and you never know, it could be the next eBay or Youtube or what have you. If you do link to a site that has a Page Rank of 0 you should encourage your other linking partners to link with them as well so that the site with the PageRank of 0 would build PageRank, which in turn means that you and your linking partners are building PageRank! Everyone wins.

Now you must be asking, "...but how do I get other sites to link to me?" Well it's extremely simple. All you have to do is look for a site that has similar content to yours, within a generalized range of course, but one that wouldn't be considered a competitor, Check their PageRank using your Google Toolbar, if it has an acceptable PageRank or looks like a good site look for an email address, and then email the webmaster about the linking. To seem more interested, be sure to really look over the site and point out certain things that you like in particular and be sure to compliment. If the webmaster's name can be found on the site be sure to address them as Dear John Doe. The worst they can do is say no, so it won't hurt to try, however I'm sure you'll be surprised at how many actually say yes.

Section 6: Staying Updated

The only other thing you should really focus on is trying to constantly add new content and pages, while constantly updating your homepage. That doesn't mean you have to change your layout and what not all the time, just add in more content. The easy thing to do would be to add a News Page, updating users frequently on what has been taking place on the site or with you, depending on what kind of site you have, that they would be interested in reading.

Section 7: Conclusion

In conclusion, if you follow this guide I guarantee you will quickly see your site in the top spots on all the search engines. Don't bother submitting your site, just let them find it. You'll get indexed quicker this way anyway. I hope I have answered all of your questions, and I guess that just about wraps it up. Good luck!

Blog & Search Engines - 3 Factors Why Search Engines Love Blogs

Nowadays, blogging has become so popular that it seems that this technology has been around for ages. What is a blog? A blog is like an online journal that anyone can share his or her experience, personal story, or expertise with readers. With Wordpress and Blogspot, anyone can start his or her blog online easily. Now, even businesses are using blogs to connect with their prospects and customers.

If you search for particular information in the search engine, you will probably find some of the listings are blogs rather than normal websites. So why search engines love blog so much? A lot of search engine optimization or SEO practitioners have already include blogs as one of their MUST-HAVE optimization tools. Now, let me share with you 3 factors why search engines love blogs and why you must absolutely start a blog now:

1. Fresh content. All search engines love fresh content. A site which updates its content regularly will tend to rank higher on search engine result page. When you run a blog, you will post content regularly to connect with your readers. Whenever you post a new content, search engine spiders will visit your site and they love new content. This will accelerate your SEO process and allow your blog to rank well organically.

2. Unique content. Duplicate content destroy a SEO effort. Unless you are posting other people articles or information on your blog, you should be worrying too much. Nothing beats having unique content on your site when it comes to search engine optimization. If you write your own content, it will be written in a very natural way that will not make search engines feel that you are spamming them with keywords. Sometimes, webmasters purposely stuff too many keywords inside their content which make search engines penalize them and de-list their sites from the indexing. So with unique content on your blog, search engines will reward your blog with good organic rankings.

3. Off-page popularity. Blog is a social networking platform. When you write quality and useful content, you will attract a lot of readers and fans. In return, they will book mark your site on various social bookmarking sites like Digg and StumbleUpon, which increases the link popularity of your blog. Search engines love sites with good link popularity as they want to present useful sites to their searchers. With this factor, you score another valuable point with search engines.

So if you do not have a blog, start blogging now. Choose a topic of your interest or a niche in which you want to enter into, and start allowing search engines to bring you tons of traffic to your blog now.

Boost SEO Exposure With Blogging

A popular marketing tool for small and large businesses alike is blogging. Blogging can give your consumers updated news from within your organization, project viewpoints that go along with the company's mission or vision and give visitors something interesting to learn. Another not as well-known benefit of blogging is the SEO exposure that it can give a company if done properly. A few simple tricks to include with every blog post can boost search engine ratings and increase web traffic. This allows a company to better reach out to its target audience by knowing how to reach out to the search engines. Knowing how to communicate with Google and other search engines can work wonders in where a website will be displayed in the rankings.
Search engines do not read in the human context. A search engine picks out key words and pieces that it finds to be most significant. When Google "reads" a website, it automatically assumes that the earliest words are the most important. It makes sense, then, to title posts with search terms that will lead viewers to the website. Make sure not to overdo it, however, and stick with one search phrase per post.

Another easy way to boost traffic is to link words to previous posts. Search engines such as Google place more weight on blog posts that contain links than ones that do not, especially if those links lead to credible destinations. However, like the title, too many links can have a reverse effect so just stick with a few.
Tags are another great way to boost traffic to blog posts. Stick with 5-10 relevant tags for your posts and enjoy the extra traffic that comes from Google ranking your blog post in terms of, well, the terms. Try to tag terms that users would likely be searching for to ensure maximum success.

Last, but definitely not least, take advantage of Google Insights. This tool allows webmasters and SEO maximizers to see for themselves which terms are generating the most traffic. With a tool like this at your fingertips coupled with knowledge of how search engines process information, you are at a great advantage when it comes to SEO efforts.

There you have it - something your business might be already doing could be the key to increased SEO exposure, and all you have to do is add to it! Who says there's no such thing as a free lunch?

Google SEO in 2011 A Look Inside the Crystal Ball

Do you wish you had a crystal ball or an Oracle for Google SEO in 2011? Google isn't always easy to predict and they do that on purpose. They don't want anyone to be able to rise to the top of search engines unless they're truly worthy. This helps Google deliver what people really want and keeps people using Google.

You can't 100% predict how to get and stay at the top of Google for your niche but if you understand fundamentals of SEO and keep your finger on the pulse of the search engine marketing industry, you can increase the chances of either climbing the ranks or of keeping a top spot despite hefty competition.
Here are some tips and techniques for you to consider for your SEO strategy for 2011:

Video

The importance of web video and video sitemaps for Google SEO will be a huge factor in how your website performs in the search engines during 2011. Web video offers a more visually appealing concept to your audience, and is becoming a major factor in Google SEO for the long term, and it will play an even bigger part this year! YouTube marketing is increasing in popularity and because Google bought YouTube in late 2006, it's definitely to your advantage to use YouTube to help you gain favour with Google.

How Does Google Dance Affect Search Engine Optimisation?

The Google monthly update cycle has now grown to be known as the Google Dance. This is extremely unpredictable and sudden if which no one has been able to keep track. This has now reduced to become just a huge step in the open sky which, might land upon any website or webpage. Almost every web master eagerly awaits the update session that is going to take place in the form of Google Dance. The Google Dance is an essential aspect of Search Engine Optimisation.

The Google spiders begin crawling over billions of web pages, spread across the world in different locations. The technology leaves the Googlebot or the Deep bots to spider all the current websites that are listed in its database. It also figures out websites that are new and recently launched. In most cases the first crawl of the spiders is repeated by another crawl which normally occurs some two weeks later.
The Googlebot at all times, generally starts a second round of spidering of the all the existing websites in its current database including the newer ones that have been recently launched on the web. It is actually the duty of a good web master to study the Google Dance tendency before submitting his website to search engine listings for Search Engine Optimisation.

Most web masters wish to see their website included in its crawling list on both the updates that are carried out in a monthly cycle. But this is not the case always, there have been instances, when a website is crawled for the first time in the month but was not included in the second crawling that was followed immediately. But if a website is crawled in the second listing, there have been recorded repetition of the website in the second month's list as well.
In order to see your website getting listed in Google dance for Search Engine Optimisation [http://www.rupizmedia.com/seo-services], more rapidly, the web masters need to first study the cycle and then accordingly update their site, so that the website is listed in the very first crawl that occurs after the update. If this is done, then there are brighter chances that the spider might crawl into the website in the next month's crawling too.

The more frequent the search engines crawl into the website the higher is the chance of improving its Search Engine Optimisation process.

Understanding SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)

During the course of your business dealings, it is possible that you have come across the initials SEO, which means search engine optimisation. SEO is the way to get your website ranked higher in the search engines (SE's) via the natural, or unpaid, search results rather than the Pay-Per-Click results shown on the on the outside columns of the results list. It is an important service because the Internet is changing at a fast rate, and with over 75% of large and small companies with data online, there is increased competition for the market share with regard to the top positions in SE's. For your online business to have the best chance of succeeding the aim of your company should be to have your website positioned in the top ten listings on the main SE's such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing. At the moment Google accounts for more than 60% of the total amount of online searches performed. Through research it has been shown that most people who browse the lists on SE's, rarely go past the top ten placements for their search.

Big companies with big online competition invest large sums of money in order to ensure that their website remains high on SE listings but a smaller website with less competition or than is targeting customers in their localised area can still earn high rankings on a much smaller budget. A quality SEO service aims at obtaining a high-ranking for your website because, essentially, that is what SE optimisation is. This service can be vital to the future development of your website and, therefore, your business, unfortunately SEO does not happen by merely creating a website and hosting it online.

When you choose to optimise your website, generally two main areas are involved in the optimisation process. On-page optimisation deals with everything that can be affected by making changes directly on your website such as content and structure. Off-page optimisation deals with the visibility of the website, which means the amount of mentions obtained on other sites and links going to your website. To successfully optimise a website takes time and is hard to achieve all at the same time. If you attempt to do all of the work at once, the search engines are alerted and believe that you are attempting to manipulate their results. Moreover, if you proceed over time and enter the best Internet directories, for example Google and Bing, the result is a better position in searches.

A big difference can be made to your website rankings through submitting articles and press releases to online directories. By submitting to directories you can get the opportunity of a mention plus a place for adding links to your site from related websites.

More and more people are using Internet search engines to find information, products and services, which makes marketing through search engine optimisation as effective or even more effective than traditional advertising routes. A better understanding about how search engines operate, and effectively use them as a tool to promote your website is now vital to your business growth and future development. This is where SEO as a marketing option comes into its own because it provides the links, facility and the know how to help your website to reach a wider client base.

Google SEO Companies

Google SEO companies are those companies which support other websites to rank higher in Google search results. These companies use their search engine optimization strategy to help other website in generating traffic volume and providing expert search engine optimization services.

If you possess a website, it is best to convert it into a business. If you already have a business plan, then many SEO companies offer various services to divert most of traffic to your website. This can ultimately provide an extra edge to your website to rank higher than other websites on Google search results. If your search engine optimization strategy is brilliant, then this results in greater sales and a tremendous amount of profit.
If you already have a business plan for your website, many SEO companies can assist you in implementing best search engine optimization strategies. Google is the main source for generating money, and hence higher rank in Google search results, means considerable amount of profit.

There are usually two fundamental aspects when it comes to search engine optimization strategy. First, when Google indexes any website, it searches for some particular aspects in that website. Your website must clearly outline the services and offerings to rank higher in Google search results. Google looks for clarity, but that does not mean to fill all content with keywords, your website just needs to be clear on terms of their services. Google also looks for some other factors which are clear and acceptable content, page structure, the internal navigation of your website and many more. The second prominent aspect for which Google looks on is the generation of links. The more links your website generate, the more you get the chances to rank higher in search results. This means your website must generate many links to other websites such as article directories, business websites, blogs, forums, social networking sites, online libraries and many more such websites. Make sure to include only those websites which are trustworthy and fair.

It is better if your link is visible on the most trusted website because it generates confidence and hence makes your link more trusted and powerful. The keywords for which you need to be found for must be shown on your link, which creates more chances to rank higher in search terms. Many SEO companies assist in creating such links and many companies assist in generating the keyword stuffed links. The mathematics of search engine optimization is, explicit content and clearly depicted trusted links, to strengthen the position of your website.
One point where your concentration must develop is entrusting a decent SEO website. There are plenty of companies which offer Search Engine optimization services. These services also differ based on the commitment of the people working in that company and the technical approach along with diligence. Ranking higher in search results is not a game of two to three days; sometimes it takes months and sometimes few years. It is entirely based on which SEO servicing company you choose, for creating links and assisting you to rank higher, in terms of Google search results.

There needs to be some amount of creativity in a planned, formal and organized way. There must be a regular submission of links through a proper plan. A trusted Google search engine optimization company can enhance the image of your website with highly suitable plans and strategies.

SEO for WordPress Websites - A Beginners Guide

SEO for WordPress - An introduction
WordPress is a very search engine friendly content management system. By changing a few settings and installing a few plugins, you can optimize your WordPress blog or website easily. As you know, an optimized WP site with great content is an invaluable asset for anyone who wants to make a living online. In this article, I am going to share with you some simple yet amazingly effective tips to optimize your website for search engines.
Internal linking
When it comes to SEO for WordPress sites, internal linking deserves a special mention. When done properly, it can improve your site's search engine rankings, increase pageviews, and improve usability. While writing an article, you can add links to related articles on your site. You can also have a RELATED ARTICLES section at the end of each post to help users find more information on the same topic. The important thing here is to use relevant keywords while linking to other sections of the website.
Title tags
A title tag tells search engines what a website or webpage is all about. Use keyword phrases that you are trying to get your site to rank for as title tags. To do so, you can install the SEO title tag plugin, which lets you optimize the title tags as you wish. This is a simple yet highly effective way to make your WordPress blog SEO friendly.
Headings
The use of proper headings not only makes it easy for users to read your articles, but also tells search engines what the page is all about. So, you should try to use important keyword phrases as headings and subheadings. You can use H1 for the main heading, H2 for subheadings, H3 for small headings, and so on.
Pingbacks
If you want others to link to your site, you should take the initiative by linking to other sites. This is something you need to remember while doing SEO for WordPress blogs and websites. To make sure a site owner knows that you have linked to his site, you can go to SETTINGS, select DISCUSSION, and activate the options that notify people when you link to their site and notify you when someone links to your site.
Image tags
Use Alt attributes to tell search engines about the images on your site. You can save your images using a keyword related to the text that accompanies the image. By doing so, you can get more traffic to your images.
Sitemap
Adding a sitemap to your WP site is very important. It makes it easier for search engines to index your webpages. If you have the know-how, you can do it manually. If not, you can use an automatic sitemap generator to create a sitemap for your site. It is one of the simplest ways to make your WordPress blog SEO friendly.
Markup validity
Use the W3C Validator to check the markup validity of web documents. It can give you a pretty clear picture of your website's code and highlight the sections that need to be corrected.
Plugins
One of the biggest advantages of having a WP blog or site is that you have tons of plugins at your disposal. These plugins can make the job of doing SEO for WordPress sites a lot easier. The best part, of course, is that they are completely free. You can simply go to WordPress website, choose the plugins you want, and install them on your site.

Search engine friendly URLs
Permalinks on WP sites usually look like yourwebsite.com/?p=25. To make your WordPress blog SEO friendly, you can go to the WP dashboard, select SETTINGS and then select PERMALINKS. You can enter /%postname%/ in the custom structure field and click 'Save Changes'. Your post titles will now look like yourwebsite.com/postname. This is a format which is both SEO friendly and user friendly.
Conclusion
Making a WordPress blog SEO friendly becomes a simple task once you understand the basics of search engine optimization. So, follow the tips given above, optimize your WP website for search engines, and get more traffic.

SEO for Dynamic Websites

A dynamic/database-driven architecture is essential for large e-commerce websites (unless of course, you plan on manually editing hundreds if not hundreds of thousands of files every time there's a price change or a new part to load). A dynamic website allows a webmaster to simply load and/or change products within a database structure as opposed to having to manually change files. But what you gain in added speed you lose in on-the-fly customizability. This affects your ability to quickly implement page-specific SEO tactics.
Generic and Duplicate content and Pages
One of the main SEO-oriented drawbacks for dynamic websites is the inability to simply open a page and change the content or meta/title tags. Your website's overall layout will likely exist as a template and even your unique content will be generated from a database. Even this database content will likely be populated with content from a manufacturer who also provided this content to your competitors for their e-commerce sites (if this is an e-commerce website). In this case chances are this content exists on other e-commerce websites, meaning your pages are duplicate content of your competitors, and will have a disadvantage in the search engine rankings.
When this happens, you'll want to modify whatever content is being duplicated. Changing the database fields where this content is being pulled from will be necessary. Depending on your situation, this may entail importing a spreadsheet into the database, or managing it through a CMS of some sort.
SEO-unfriendly Query Strings
Databases know one thing: logic. Pulling information from them means specifying records for them to pull from. Because of this, database-driven pages, by default, generally end with query strings that look like "aspx?pid=67" or "php?sid=23." This is great for your dynamic website since the database knows to display information pertaining to PID "67" or SID "23." Unfortunately, this is not the most SEO-friendly way to name your URLs.
Thankfully, URL rewrites make it possible for dynamic websites to display more SEO-friendly URLs. By implementing SEO-friendly URL rewrites, both human visitors and search engines will 'see' URLs with targeted keywords within them. This is the ideal format for your URLs. Not only is this better for search engine spiders, but these these words will show up in bold in your search engine results pages if a user's search contained the word. This makes your listing stand out more and increases your chances of a visit.
ALT and Link Title Tags
ALT and Link title tags are easy enough to add on static websites. But how about dynamic websites where the image is being dynamically called from a database field? This is when it's time to be inventive. The image being dynamically pulled is likely representing a certain product (or some other object relevant to your website). If this is the case, simply call the name of the product as an ALT tag. This will ensure that your ALT tags are unique, relevant to your content, and SEO-friendly. You can use this process with link title tags as well.
301 Redirects and Canonical Link Rel Element
As you make changes to your website, make sure to 'clean' up old URLs. There may be links pointing to old pages that no longer exist (for example, if you get rid of or remap a product line). You'll want to 301 redirect these old pages to the new ones so as not to lose the link juice being passed onto it. If for whatever reason you can't implement a 301 redirect (for example, if you are using classic ASP and have no access to the server), make sure and use the canonical link rel element on the old pages. The canonical link rel element is the next best thing to a 301 redirect when it comes to passing on link juice and is the best way for handing necessary duplicate content (for example, printer-friendly pages that have the same exact content as their less printer-friendly counterparts).
Dynamic Websites and ongoing SEO
SEO is an ongoing process. And this rule also (if not especially) applies to dynamic websites, As you upload new products, change prices, move products around, etc always be aware of what potential SEO value you can be adding. Remember, SEO itself dynamic.

What is Google SEO?

SEO or Search engine optimisation is the process of optimising your website for search engine spiders. Google is considered one of the best search engines in the world. One can say that about 75% of the web traffic is generated from Google search engine. This says a lot about the immense popularity of Google as a tool for promoting your website and driving qualified traffic to your products or and services.

Search engine optimisation is the practice of altering or designing a website in such a way that it get's ranked as high as possible in search results from search engines like Google, Yahoo. The main tool by which website is ranked higher is through specific keywords and phrases in such a way that it is easy to understand the theme of the website. In other words a website appears higher in the search engine results when it is targeted and optimised for specific keywords.

It is not possible for many web developers without proper SEO training or SEO experience to get ranked highly for keywords in their websites. There are many search engine optimisation techniques which will help optimize the website and help in staying ahead of the competitors. Some of the steps to get better a ranking through Google SEO include some of the following.

The first step in getting a better ranking in Google is choosing the right keywords. Basically any website is designed to ultimately market its product and services. This step involves focusing on specific and niche keywords related to the product so that the website is placed better in Google search engine. It is optimizing the keyword in the website in such a way that people actually use it when performing searches in Google. For example if one is optimizing for the content writing website which is located in UK, use keywords such as content writing services UK.

The other factor which is important for Google SEO is to optimize the domain names and title tags in such a way that the website is ranked higher in the Google search. For example contentwritingUK.com will rank much better than companyname.com. The title tag is also as important as domain name since it will improve the Google ranking significantly.

If one needs free information regarding Google SEO then he can go online. There are many websites which give information regarding Google SEO techniques. This is very useful information for companies which wish to get their website on higher ranking in Google search engine.

The Basics of Google SEO

Everybody wants a place sat proudly at the top of Google so much so that they try all kinds of methods to get there, however the only one that really works is Google SEO. Google search engine optimisation is basically implementing the webmaster guidelines and trying to make you site content as spider friendly as possible.

Over the past 5 years Google has become more and more focused on off page SEO factors, as far as their ranking system is concerned and this means they give less weight to your actual site content and more weight to how popular you are within the sites on their index. In this article I want to take the time to give you some basic Google SEO factors so that you can start to optimise your pages for the Google.bot.
Off page factors relates to getting links and the quality and quantity of those links is going to be a massive determining factor in how close you get to the top of the SERPs. So what makes a quality in bound link as far as Google SEO is concerned?

The first aspect of your link simply relates to relevance, how relevant is the page linking back to your site? Is the page URL, title, heading and body content relative to your webpage? If not Google will hardly notice it and you will not get an increase in PageRank. Make sure your links are as relevant as possible, this is one of the main aspects of Google SEO.

The second aspect is ensuring your link is coming from a site with as high a PageRank as possible. I have mixed feelings about this as I have seen pages rank for competitive keywords and have links coming from PageRank 0 sites only. All I will say is the more high PR links you have the less low PR links you'll need. Try and build up a mixture of both types.

The third aspect of Google SEO is making sure your links are anchored with your keyword text. Do not make the common webmaster mistake of linking back using your name or the classic "click here". Doing this is an absolute waste of a link. If you are selling cars link back using text like "used cars sale" or "car finance", this will give your site relevance and keyword authority and is the most important aspect of Google SEO. One word of warning when using this method though, do not use the same anchor text every time. You need to use variations otherwise it will look like keyword manipulation and your site could be penalised.

Google SEO Services

SEO or Search Engine Optimization, involves the process of editing and moulding a page such that it will show up on the first page or first 40 search results for particular keywords related to the topic. This is important because the success or failure of a website depends on the traffic that it can attract and second the content it has. SEO aims at increasing the hits a website gets for particular keywords by promoting the web content on it to the top of the search results. Many online companies and free lancers give Google SEO services but choosing a right one can be a hassle especially if it is the first time for you.

Before learning the right questions to ask Google SEO services, it is necessary to have an idea of how pages get optimized for Google. It is quite simple, as per the topic or content of the webpage, there will be particular keywords, which are searched more often than other words on Google. Obtaining this information and then using that to increase the keyword density of the web content is how a page is optimized. Generally, in Google just as in other search engines, the keyword density determines the position of the page followed by other factors such as coherence, information etc. This is called on-page optimization.

Google SEO services, use another type of optimization called off-page optimization. Here, content on blogs, article sites, tweets etc. are created that link to the actual page being optimized. Google also takes into account the number of links a particular page has to decide its ranking. Therefore, the more links the page has the higher probability of it coming on top. Specifically, such services depend on Social media sites and Social networking sites such as Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube etc... These blogs, videos, articles that describe the web content being optimized act as a form of free advertisement since posting videos and comments or articles and blogs is free.

As one can see, Google SEO services, can propel the business of a website to new extremes. However, there are many SEO firms both online and local to choose from so, how does one go about finding the right one. There is no easy answer, in fact, any such firm with enough experience should work well. With experience, SEO services have good information about the workings of Google and things that work or do not work. Some SEO services although might have enough experience, might not have worked much with Google. It is important to hire some agency that has exclusive Google experience since, there are some differences in the way Google performs its searches as opposed to other search directories.
Some Google SEO services, can charge a premium value for their services because of the extra value added services they do such as web content developing, other search engine optimizations, web hosting etc. These services are not such a bad option since one has to simply communicate with a single firm to take care of their website.
Choosing a good seo service can be difficult, as it often takes time to see the results. Many seo companies oversell their products so take time asking questions of the search engine optimisation company you plan to use.
